Breaking the Funding Loop: New Paths for Finnish Documentaries

Breaking the Funding Loop: New Paths for Finnish Documentaries

This event is part of DocPoint’s Industry programme. Admission is only available to professionals accredited to the festival with an Industry, Guest or Member pass.

Having a strong documentary story as a Finn can be challenging when it doesn’t quite fit the traditional domestic funding models. Finland’s wealth often places it outside the scope of many international funds, and at the same time forming international partnerships has its own tricks. Still, there is hope!

UK-based funding and storytelling consultant Jane Mote will inspire filmmakers to be more creative about where to look for money and will reveal where money could flow for the right stories.

The event is held in English. The event is supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
