DocPoint’s ticket sales have now begun!
The film schedule for the 25th DocPoint – Helsinki Documentary Film Festival, which will take place from February 3–8, 2026, has now been released and ticket sales for the screenings have begun.
The festival program, featuring over 70 full-length documentaries and over 30 short films, has something for everyone! As usual, DocPoint’s film selection is divided into thematic screening series, and you can also browse films using keywords on our website. For example, the keyword personal will lead you to films where the filmmaker deals with themselves and their life, as Déni Oumar Pitsaev does in the film Imago, while the keyword feel-good reveals films that put the viewer in a good mood, such as the story of Agatha, who lives life on her own terms, in the film Agatha’s Almanac.
The program also includes three films that are on the shortlist in the documentary film category at the Oscars. The actual Oscar nominees will be selected from the shortlist. Coexistence, My Ass! follows the Israeli stand-up comedian Noam Shuster-Eliass and her resistance against the Israeli government’s policies. Cutting Through Rocks is a portrait of Sara Shahverdi, who lives in rural Iran and fights against deeply rooted patriarchal structures, for example by teaching girls how to ride motorcycles. Seeds is a mesmerizing glimpse into the lives of black farmers in the southern states of the USA and the structural challenges they face.
Silent Legacy – Katseiden alla, directed by Jussi Rastas and Jenni Kivistö, which belongs to DocPoint’s National Competition series, is nominated in the Nordic Documentary Competition series at the Gothenburg Film Festival. The film, which is punctuated by spectacular dance performances, follows Sibiry Konate, a Burkinabé choreographer living in Finland, who reflects on his identity between two cultures.
The screening times for the films can now be found on their presentation pages, and you can also browse the festival schedule by theatre and by day here.
Tickets for individual screenings can now be purchased from the film pages and at Kino Regina during its opening hours. While the festival is running, tickets for all screenings can also be bought at the ticket office located in Bio Rex Lasipalatsi.
The most convenient way to purchase multiple tickets is to buy a serial card. DocPoint offers 3, 5, and 10-ticket serial cards. Discount groups (job seekers, students, retirees) can purchase 5 and 10-ticket serial cards. Serial cards are not personal. Serial cards are on sale throughout the festival.
